Achievements and Recognition
Innovation in Teaching & Learning
Our commitment to developing innovative approaches to education has been recognised by Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board (KWETB), which has awarded our school two grants in recognition of our work in digital technology and assessment.
These achievements reflect our ambition to embrace new technologies, develop effective assessment practices and continually improve the learning experiences of our pupils.
An Inclusive and Supportive School
We are proud to be an autism-friendly school, where inclusion, understanding and respect for neurodiversity are central to our ethos.
We have also successfully secured play therapy and art therapy services for our pupils, providing additional opportunities for children to develop emotional wellbeing, confidence and self-expression in a supportive environment.
These initiatives reflect our belief that education is about much more than academic achievement. Every child deserves to feel valued, supported and empowered to reach their potential.
Creativity & Environmental Awareness
Our commitment to creativity has been recognised nationally, with our pupils’ CreativiTree art installation selected for display at the National Gallery of Ireland.
We have also received a Green-Schools Award, recognising the efforts of our pupils and staff to promote environmental awareness and sustainability.
More Than Awards
While we are delighted to receive recognition for our work, our greatest achievement is the welcoming, inclusive and ambitious school community we continue to build together.
We believe that success looks different for every child. Whether it is a scientific discovery, a creative breakthrough, a sporting achievement or a personal milestone, we celebrate progress in all its forms.
At GCNS, we are proud of how far we have come and excited about where we are going next.
